I’ve decided to introduce MFA for my remote connections to my home network – more security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Create your admin account on Duo<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. After login, Click on “Billing”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Under “Manage Subscription” make sure it’s Duo Free<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Under “Users” create the user account that logs into your windows computer (I use a local account).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Click on “Applications”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Click on “Protect an Application”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Search for RDP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Select “Microsoft Remote Desktop”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Click Protect. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. There are the 3 keys your need. “Integration”, “Secret”, “API hostname”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. On your client machine Download and install “dl.duosecurity.com\/duo-win-login-latest.exe”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. use the 3 keys above. Be sure to Enable RDP during the install.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  13. That should be it.
